Winemaking center of global significance. Place, where centuries-old Château Lafite Rothschild, Château Latour, Château Margaux and Château Mouton Rothschild were born. A city with the name that has the main point of what wine is. In June 2013 Kolonist participated in one of the biggest wine-exhibitions of the world Vinexpo (Bordeaux); Bessarabia wine region came right here, to the shores of famous Garonne, where the best wines went up the river to see the world.

Kolonist close friend for many years, famous negotiant from Bordeaux – Benoit Ricaud-Dussarget – gave us a possibility to astonish and impress experienced Frenchman and strict Europeans. If only wine could talk! We would get to know, which emotions it had every time, when best sommeliers of the world tasted Riesling, Cabernet, Merlot, Cabernet Merlot, Chardonnay, Muscat and Porto for the first time!

We were leaving proud for our region and wine, because world champion sommelier of the 90s “discovered completely new Chardonnay, and Muscat dessert captivated him completely”. According to his words, “Kolonist red wines are as good as Bordeaux wines.”

Exhibitions of such an extent as Vinexpo are a big responsibility and a new level for Kolonist. We are grateful to our friends and colleagues: Olivier Dauga, Cathy Socasau and Benoit Ricaud-Dussarget, who trust in us, always support us and help still young Kolonist wine to win a reputation and find admirers all over the world!
